Eye Clinic Outpatients

Recurring appointment. Waiting time in reception takes a long time - consistently 1.5 hours to 2 hours wait. I can usually find more information myself or the information myself or the information is inconsistent between doctors.
Hip replacement

All staff excellent except anesthetist who said "we'll see you again after I've seen your results" Building is new. First appointment cancelled - one month delay but understand. was referral process - going back to GP - physio etc. I enjoyed the food. Physio seemed like a list rather than treatment. Nobody you could ask little questions to.

Ecocardiogram - diagnostic can't fault. Can't find my way in - navigation difficult. Not enough parking. Disabled toilet not big enough. Not happy to have to come back again.

Physiotherapy - the guy was spot on. Went straight up to appointment. He told me the exercises to do.

Great service

Great service, haven't had any problems and really happy. The only improvement would be that some of the staff are bit strict with rules on how many visitors can sit at the bedside. There is a lack of consistency with this.
Mixed experiences
April 2, 2015
Some staff are very good and others not so caring. Waiting times are sometimes great and other times not very good. Problems being rushed in appointments and not feeling informed. My experience has been quite good. I initially tried to get an appointment with a consultant at Blackburn but there was a four month waiting time so I had to go along with anything I could get. My husband and I had an appointment booked on the same day at a different hospital so I asked to change to the same. The first person I spoke with said there was nothing they could but the next person said she would phone me back if they had a cancellation. Within the week she phoned back and sorted it out. I think staff need to follow the same procedures as each other and be more helpful.
Introductions required prior to treatment
April 2, 2015
The appointment went really well but I think staff should introduce themselves before they start. The nurse put a brace on my leg but it wasn't for me and I had to explain afterwards. It was quite funny and I wasn't bothered but this wouldn't have happened if she would have asked me straight away and introduced herself. The doctor was very good, I was fully informed of everything and felt reassured. He said he could fix it so I am not as worried anymore
