Attended without appointment on the 14/09/15 but fracture clinic didn't have the notes as nurse during discharge did not pass the information on. The appointment was unscheduled so I can understand. Children's ward clinic was fantastic.

External areas outside hospital are shocking. Lots of stub ends, it was disgusting!

I was a patient for 4 days and the ward food was scored a 4/5.
Waiting times in the fracture clinic could be improved

I used patient transport to get to my appointment at Royal Blackburn Hospital because I was told I was going to need injections in my eyes and therefore would not be able to use public transport. I have no family or friends to rely on for a lift.
After a few hours of being in the hospital, I had seen the doctor and then asked to wait again. A member of staff then told me I had been discharged and my patient transport had been arranged. This confused me as I was under the impression that I was going to have injections in my eyes but the nurse insisted the doctor has discharged me.
I waited for the patient transport to arrive with three other people who were from Leyland. After about a hour, we asked a member of staff where the transport was and the member of staff told us unfortunately there has been some confusion and our transport had not been booked. We were then told that a driver was available to take the three people home who were from Chorley, but not myself as I was from Leyland. Even though we had all traveled in the same transport to the hospital.
The patient transport came to pick up the three people, as I continued to wait. The clinic had closed and everyone had gone home by the time my transport arrived. My appointment had finished at 4pm and this was around 6:30. I thought I may be there all night on my own and there was nobody to ask.

The canteen is too far away. I would have designed it with a central hub. The circular door is always jamming I nearly crashed into someone. The staff have been superb.

There's not enough blue badge spaces really. Getting the appointment was easy but I didn't know why I had been called - communication was poor.

It ran on time and they were very pleasant.
