Appalling facilities

I attended the hospital on the 1st of November for an urgent blood test. I had been referred over by GP and headed straight there. I spent 20 minutes driving around to find a parking space and was subsequently charged for it even though I was unable to find a space! I had to ask my other half to take over the driving and go round the block whilst I received my test.
Then when I went into the hospital, imagine my horror, to learn that the blood clinic has moved from where it used to be near the outpatients entrance to the opposite side of the hospital! There were no notices around the entrance to let anyone know. I came across one on the top corridor which was a small A5 piece of paper explaining that the centre had moved and it was now located where it is now. All the way along the corridor were printed a4 signs that indicated where to go. These were very difficult to read and i am disgusted that a new centre like this has not been given adequate signage.
The care that I received was amazing, the facilities at the hospital were sub-standard.

Blood clinic concerns- I took my mum for her blood test last week and couldn't park so I dropped her off at reception whilst I found a space. It took me 40 minutes to get a space, by then I went in to find the clinic had moved and she had walked all that way on her own. she has COPD, elderly and visually impaired. It had taken her 35 minutes to get from reception to the blood clinic. By the time I arrived she was really unwell and struggling, this should not have happened. They need to move the blood clinic back to where it was.

I had an appointment at the hospital with the physio department and they sent me a letter saying they had tried to contact me when they hadn't and then made me wait another 6 months for an appointment. I already had to wait for this appointment.

The blood clinic is so far away, and I don’t understand how they expect patients to get all the way round there. It’s a smaller unit and there was no reason to move the clinic. They should move it back for the patients and make it easier to access.

I came in today for my blood appointment and the staff were lovely. The reception staff were lovely and signposted me to where the new clinic is and I was give a sheet. If I didn’t have my wheelchair I would have struggled and turned back around. Why did they need to move the blood clinic so far away, it was fine where it was.

I had a face to face appointment booked with urology, and I was getting ready to leave the house when my phone rang. It was the doctor telling me I had a phone call appointment. The letter I had said face to face and not phone call, but no one had told me. The doctor was lovely over the phone but because of my age I would have preferred face to face.

The chemo unit are incredible; they can’t do enough for me and I am very lucky. I always get medication on time and the staff are always so lovely and professional.

The eye clinic is great, I went straight in and I didn’t have to wait. The reception staff helped me find the clinic and they even walked down the corridor with me.

I have been to the dental clinic today and they are very good with me, they are efficient, friendly and have very short wait times.
