I had a face to face appointment booked with urology, and I was getting ready to leave the house when my phone rang. It was the doctor telling me I had a phone call appointment. The letter I had said face to face and not phone call, but no one had told me. The doctor was lovely over the phone but because of my age I would have preferred face to face.

The chemo unit are incredible; they can’t do enough for me and I am very lucky. I always get medication on time and the staff are always so lovely and professional.

The eye clinic is great, I went straight in and I didn’t have to wait. The reception staff helped me find the clinic and they even walked down the corridor with me.

I have been to the dental clinic today and they are very good with me, they are efficient, friendly and have very short wait times.

Cardio and respiratory are very good with me, I went straight in for my appointment and the staff were so lovely with me.

Appointments keep getting cancelled

We have been waiting almost a year for an appointment with the consultant (Dr Schofield) about my husband's heart operation. We have found out this week, only a week before the appointment is due to happen, that it is cancelled and we are now supposed to wait until July next year for this consultation appointment. I am not happy at all and it is very concerning that we have had to wait as long as we have to be let down at the last minute with such a serious condition and no real explanation.
The new system for dementia patients in A&E

I took my relative to A&E a few weeks ago and because they have dementia, the reception staff told me they had put a clip on their board so they are not waiting as long which I think is a great idea.
Unfortunately this was not the case and we were sat for hours waiting and everyone who came in before us was seen before us. I don't understand the purpose of the dementia clip if it doesn't do anything.
My relative can not sit in A&E for hours without becoming distressed and this is exactly what happened.
Once they were seen the doctors were lovely.

Maternity service is very good

I had a baby not so long ago and the service was incredible, the staff were so lovely with me and cared for me.
Cancer care is incredible

I was looked after by the cancer team and they were incredible. They supported me through my operation and the staff were so dedicated. I had all the details I needed after I left as well to ensure I knew who to contact.
