confusion over blue badge

im so confused with the new pay machine at chorley hospital. i went last week and ive already registered my badge but when i left it told me to scan my badge, but this was in the car so i had to go back to my car and come back to scan it. if its already registered why do i need to scan it? i asked someone at the machines and they told me it was on social media, i dont use social media so as a patient how am i supposed to know of this change?

appointment communication

communication is a big issue for me at the moment, my wife was referred to eye services following an appointment with the opticians. they said she needed to see a consultant at Chorley hospital, I've been chasing that appointment and they said i had missed one but we didnt receive a letter for the appointment. the lady on the phone said i have an appointment available tomorrow, so we turned up to be told appointment has been cancelled and is now not until September. this is not good for patients at all.

i was taken into chorley hospital and admitted a few months ago and was told i would be referred to neurology and i would hear off them soon. five months went by and i called them and they said hey hadnt heard of me even though i had received a letter from them telling me i had been referred to them. they told me i had to go back to my GP and get a rereferral.

Surgeon Ignored Serious Infection

Following surgery I developed a Serious Infection. I was seen by my GP, Urgent Care, SAU, and various Consultants, Registrars and Nurses throughout my admission to hospital which included 4 lots of IV antibiotics a day for 5 days. The only person who kept telling me on repeat that I was fit to go home - when I clearly wasn't - was my Surgeon.

Due to the Consultant not paying attention to my Estrogen marker results, or reviewing my risk factors I was put on medication that made me really unwell and negatively affected my quality of life for over a year unnecessarily. Had the correct information been discussed with me at the time, I never would have agreed to the treatment that reduces my risk by 1% at 10 years and 0% by 15 years.

Cancer Patient 5 Hour Wait in Urgent Care

Following breast cancer surgery I developed an infection and went to Urgent Care as my wound was spurting out blood and pus. I was kept waiting for 5 hours to be seen. I bled through everything I was wearing and the nurse ran out of gangee pads. Within a nanosecond of the Dr seeing the problem he referred me to SAU at RPH.

Good Service at the Rapid Eye Assessment

My daughter got referred to the rapid eye assessment after attending the opticians. Seen and all tests completed within an hour thankfully no problems found

They have been great with me

I struggle with my long term condition and they have referred me for different tests across the county in order to try and find out what is going on. I have had great communication from them about the issues and they are continuing to look at what is happening to me. Im just unsure where to go next as it feels like they are taking their time with the diagnosis and I want to know who to contact in order to get an update I have a number for the department but is there anywhere else I could go to for information?

cancer care is incredible

i had an operation at Chorley Hospital as i had breast cancer and had to have it removed. the specialist was incredible and the surgery was amazing. the nurses on the ward couldn't be more supportive and couldn't do enough for me. the care was impeccable. i also got a care package when i left the hospital and i found this absolutely incredible.
