Burnley General Hospital

I began experiencing pain in my arm following breast cancer three years earlier. I was referred to the oncologists and he then referred me on to receive physiotherapy. This took 6 weeks waiting time, upon which, I was told that there was nothing they could do, and was sent back to the oncologist. He apologised for the misdiagnosis which I appreciated, and I was then given a brain scan which showed I had an advanced brain tumor. I am upset that it took so long to get this diagnosis as I don't have much time left and it's sad knowing that I have wasted any of what I do have.

Excellent service. The room is a bit dismal and the hospital. The parking is terrible.

It's been really good. They have looked after me and I know what is going on. The building could be improved.

Treatment wasn't successful because physio left and it was a treatment that needed weekly attention and appointments were 5 weeks between for a while.

It is always too hot in here, it breeds germs.

Sometimes the wait can be about an hour, it depends.
The toilet downstairs was very unclean with tissues all over and both toilets blocked.

Waited since March for treatment because the referral from the optician was lost.

X-ray at Burnley and the results took 4 weeks to get to a referral at Physiotherapy. Staff are all excellent and the treatments worked well.

All been very good.
