I have had the best experience of cardiac units here. It is a small unit which is personal and the staff seem to have time to cater for me.

Last appointment they had to cancel but it was rearranged without any problems for two and a half weeks later. Not bad at all. They give you really clear information.

I was in A&E which was comfortable enough, I waited seven hours. Then I had to stay on ward 12 which was an awful experience for me. I hope I never have to stay there again. I only had one night there but I didn't sleep at all. There was continuous noise and people were allowed to roam up and down the corridor. Some of these people seemed to be on drugs and made me feel very uncomfortable. I don't think they should be kept in the same ward as everyone else if they are particularly disruptive.

It is always a nice and personal experience. The staff are comforting because I get very nervous. The treatment is always good and they don't try to rush me, they let me take my time and go to the toilet. They know me by my first name which I like. They are efficient and its better than Preston.

I have brought my friend because his bag burst. The nurses here sorted him out straight away and they have been really good.

I came from Barrow today. I have been seeing a doctor there who took a year to get me a referral here. But I am happy to be here now. I haven't had medical treatment yet but I cant see any way it could be improved.

I am here for an appointment which is three and a half weeks after my discharge. It was all very good.

My friends having treatment. It is always good here. One thing which I can think was particularly good was that she got a car park pass when she was having regular chemotherapy at the hospital. It's little things like that which make a big difference.

Seeing consultant today as I had open heart surgery here three years ago. I have been coming regularly for three years and it has always been brilliant.

Don't get long enough for consultations because of government targets we only get 10 minutes for consultations. Sometimes they overrun and cause delays. We try to keep people informed as best as we can. We have signs and give regular updates to patients. It is good that we have a cafe so that we can let people wait in there if they wish and then call them from the cafe.
