New pharmacy system - Ribble village surgery

April 15, 2024
Since the change over, from when the pharmacy appeared separate from the doctor’s waiting room. There have been several occasions where I have encountered problems when collecting my medication. Staff appear incompetent at times, not knowing where a prescription will or should be. So I’ve been left waiting a long time for them to locate my prescription via my medication. I went to get my medication on Friday , was told it needed ordering and because they no longer open at the weekends(???) it wouldn’t be available until the Monday . Although annoyed I accepted my own rationale : all medication can’t be stored all the time. Anyway, I went on the Monday to be originally told that it needed to be ordered (what again) and I would have to collect it the next day ( Tuesday) obviously I was not happy about visiting on another day, so asked if I could have my prescription to enable a visit to another pharmacy, only to be told I couldn’t because the prescription had other items on it. Although I understand this, it still left me with another trip to the pharmacy, wasting my valuable time. I really think the pharmacy practice needs to audit their working systems, identifying where there is breakage and get them fixed. I’d appreciate a system that worked efficiently, didn’t waste my time or there’s.

Worst GP & rude Staff

March 15, 2024
This place needs closing down. I have had so many issues in a year half of being at this surgery. They let me down time after time and he rings once and said they ring 3 times. I have found this surgery dirty and have felt harassed and insulted by numerous member of staff who ever is governing compliance on this surgery needs to address this. They mess up ordering medications for someone with heart conditions and serious mental health by sending it to the wrong pharmacist and make you go weeks without medication. Phone call reviews to be told to come in every time. The man wastes his time twice. You have Q&A with the most rude receptionists I have ever encountered. Please I beg do not come here and as for the NHS shut this place down and save yourself some money. CQC are being contacted.

Receptionist is rude

February 14, 2024
The receptionist you meet in the centre is extremely rude. I have never experienced unprofessional behaviour like that before. I am so shocked how they even work in a customer facing environment with attitude like that. They have Zero knowledge on how to speak to people let alone clients. I would highly advise to recruit fresh new professional faces.

Worst Gp practice, Disgusting Receptionists

March 2, 2023
Very rude and appalling receptionists, absolutely disgusting childish behaviour and no communication skills and no customer service whatsoever, feels like they have been forced to be there, ask questions more than the doctor to make an appointment, have to chase them for your medical reports, doctor does not care about the patients, doctor is in his own world, Overall a heartache to be with this Gp. Absolutely shambles this place is.

Lack of GP appearance

February 17, 2015
I booked an early GP appointment for 9am as I needed to get to work as soon as I could afterwards and was being picked up from the practice by a colleague. I arrived at 8.40 and was left waiting outside in the freezing cold despite the reception staff being in and the connected pharmacy being open. I was eventually let in at 8.55 and I waited. At 9.20 Dr Hussain had still not even arrived at the practice. I was fed mis-information by reception staff who first told me he should arrive any moment, then that he might be dealing with an emergency and when challenged that I knew that they did not provide an out of hours service and instead this was provided by primary care at RPH I was just offered the option of another appointment for the same time the following week. This is not the first time this has happened as my partner is also registered at the practice and the earliest they have been seen is 9.15 for an allegedly 9.00 appointment. Also a look on NHS Choices will further evidence Dr Hussain's poor timekeeping!

Improvements could include Dr Hussain actually arriving on time to see his first patient! Reception staff being honest that they don't know where he is or how long he is likely to be. Alternatively don't offer 9am appointments if he is unlikely to arrive anyway and instead run an evening or Saturday morning surgery so us working folk don't have to take time off in the first place. I now have to take another 2 hours off work this week to repeat the process!
