Pendle Support and Care
My son has Asperger's and one of his symptoms is that he often agrees with other people's opinions and suggestions. He is easily led and vulnerable - this has been mentioned in external assessments of him. My son used to use Pendle support and care for activities and the manager suggested that he should be in a care home away from his parents. She seemed to convince him of this and push for him to say that he did not want to live at home with us. These are supposed to be caring people, but what we wanted was support. He is back home now and has been for over a year, but I just felt I needed to share my experience. What they did to my son and our family was heart-breaking. The manager of Pendle Support has residential care homes as well so I also felt that it was a conflict of interest for her as they might have made money from it.
