Very good surgery

i absolutely love my health centre, i cant fault them at all. You can always get an appointment on the same day and the staff are just lovely. I find the doctors really listen to you and take in to account your opinions and thoughts.

I dont always get the same Doctor

I have been using Haslingden Medical Centre for many years and we always used to see the usual Doctor. It would seem that they are no longer there and now I am only seen by the young student Doctors, which I don't mind, but I find that there are aspects of my condition that may be missed. I can't fault them but it is something that I am worried about.

We do try our very best to use regular locum GP's to offer continuity of care for our patients. We have used the same locum GP's now for many years and they have built a really good rapport with the patients. As we are a teaching practice, we realise, that, on occasion, you may not see the GP of your choice and may be offered one of the trainee doctors instead. These doctors are very well qualified and overseen by one of our seniors. You can, of course wait for the GP of your choice but this may entail a longer wait.

CVS Activity - Understanding Autism

I went in with a few questions- I was fobbed off and felt patronised. I thought my diet was quite good but my eyes started to turn yellow. The doctors made me out to be a liar. I don't really go anymore. This is one of the reasons I went to other services for Autism so that I could bypass my doctor. Because I am small and exercise a lot they assumed I had an eating disorder, but actually running just makes me feel better and clears my mind from everything else going on. They are not specialist so they are not understanding. The receptionists have been quite rude as well.
