Introducing Youthwatch

February 21, 2023

Are you a young person aged 16-25 and passionate about improving health and social care services for other young people?

Introducing Youthwatch!

Healthwatch Lancashire is providing young people the platform to meet and discuss what matters most to young people regarding health and social care. You will be supported to create your own projects which we can send to decision-makers to make a real difference to the care young people receive.

Youthwatch members will run the group, deciding themselves what they want to talk about and focus on. Healthwatch Lancashire will be there to support you and we want members to feel empowered to take the lead.

What matters most to you?

What do you think needs improving within health and social care services?

What struggles have you faced which perhaps could have been avoided if professionals had a better understanding of young people’s needs?

We are inviting young people to join us as ambassadors to ensure the voice of young people is amplified within Lancashire.

As a member of Youthwatch, you can be the voice of young people in Lancashire.

  • It looks great on your CV
  • You are making a change for young people
  • A chance to improve your knowledge of health and social care services
  • Optional training on offer
  • Opens you up to other volunteering roles with us

We are running our first meeting via Microsoft Teams on Thursday 27th April 5pm-6:30pm for those interested in joining the group. This is your opportunity to express interest, ask any questions and get the ball rolling!

Make sure to bring any ideas and questions with you, no question is a silly question.
