Physiotherapist Referral
April 22, 2016
Physiotherapist treatment should be available for all patients right across the board at Royal Preston and Chorley Hospitals not just for those who need surgery. This present ruling is unacceptable and very unfair the hospitals. I have been waiting for a referral to a physiotherapist for a very long time. I was told to see Community physiotherapists however I have been told in three separate places that I cannot see one. There is a need for more Physiotherapists.
unprofessional nursing staff
April 3, 2016
I have yet to experience a member of the nursing staff at any level who look professional. They are a most scruffy looking group of individuals. I believe it is disrespectful to serve the public with grubby uniforms and unkempt hair. Many are seen smoking, shopping and riding on buses to and from work. Disgraceful. If, as a teacher, I had turned up to work like that I would have lost the respect of both pupils, parents and colleagues. I know of some companies in service industries would send their employees home.
Ward 3

I have recently been the recipient of the care offered by Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS foundation Trust and want to say how impressed I have been by staff at all levels in the organisation.
I have been treated with nothing but respect, kindness, understanding and expertise throughout.
Special thanks must go to Consultant Surgeons - Mr J de Carpentier, -Mr A Cardozo and Specialist Nurse Andrew Fishburn; Radiography at Preston Hospital and all staff- clinical and support - Ward 3 at Preston Hospital.

Diabolical, full of jobs worth nurses

Diabolical, full of jobs worth nurses. If the service was patient and carer centered it might help!

Still waiting for information to come back and it's very frustrating. Waited since the end of December for heart check and results from ECG. Still not heard. ECG was done at Chorley. I phoned up after two weeks and the hospital said they would be sending a letter but still not received anything.
PE - Fracture Clinic

Poor, absolutely horrendous. No medication. Arrived 8am, got home at 1.30pm. Saw specialist early and went for X-ray but after that it was awful. The plaster that was put on wasn't working
Occupational Therapy

They haven't provided any service for mum yet. Mum needed a specific recliner chair for a motor neuron disease. She can't sit on the commode that she has. I have spoken to OT about this and she referred me somewhere. The first commode that was sent did not fit. We need an OT that is in the area to sort any problems out quicker

On Tuesday 22nd December, I was first told to go home for a second. I think by admin, staff were told no bed first on 5th December and on 22nd December. I started to go home when a nurse came back and said we do have a bed. Better organisation needed.
