Royal Preston Hospital

I took my relative to a&e a couple of weeks ago and we waited 2 hours to be triaged. We were there for 7.5 hours in total and he has a heart problem. After 4 hours a doctor came in and said there are only 6 doctors on today and 30 beds, there are over 200 patients waiting and we have patients sitting in the corridor so if you don't need to be here please can you leave.

I had a very good experience with the eye clinic.
They did keep cancelling my appointments without telling me why but when i got there the staff were great and really helped me.

I recently had a surgical procedure at the hospital and the staff was excellent, caring and compassionate. The surgeon made me feel comfortable

I have found the Pediatrics department/team excellent

My experience of the physiotherapy and orthopedic department has fallen well below standard. They had let me down, they want me to go to Blackpool Victoria hospital for a stand up MRI scan, I don't have a car and I am not able to cope with that long journey. I can only walk a short distance. I should be seen, if I was paying private they would be willing to see me. It is sheer neglect, it is totally wrong. My GP sent a referral and the hospital just send the referral back to my GP. I have been in contact with PALS, PALS have done their best under difficult circumstances they can only do so much they have tried their best but I am in pain and can only walk short distances. All other departments at Preston Hospital are fabulous but not Orthopedic and Physiotherapy departments.

I attended recently with a suspected heart attack and was seen immediately. The staff were exceptionally caring and made sure that my issue was stabilised. They made sure that my family were kept informed about the situation and they ended up referring me to Blackpool Victoria for further treatment. I would not be here without their help.

Preston hospital is a very good hospital, I have been for numerous appointments and i have never had a problem.

The staff are lovely, it is easy to get around and the doctors in the clinics are very good at their jobs. They really listen to you and care about your needs.

I was in the gynecology ward at sharoe green and the discharge team made me feel very pressured to leave. I understand they need the beds but i didn't feel well enough to leave. I felt i could have done without that part as the ward was brilliant with me and concentrated on me getting better.
I felt the discharge team kept pushing and pushing me to leave the ward and i did not feel well enough to do that.

I had such a lovely experience in the gynecology ward.
They were excellent and very good with the patients.
I felt no pressure or stress at all whilst i was in there and felt well cared for.

I used the occupational therapist at sharoe green unit and they were very good.
They rang me and kept me up to date with my care and what happens next.
They were very helpful and friendly.
