communication with patients is good

i had my appointment sent to me via the post today and i prefer that, i have been told that they will eventually go digital but that's excluding so many people who don't use the internet and don't have access to technology. My care today has been great, i can never complain about Ormskirk hospital they are very good.

maternity services are very good

i have been to the maternity clinic today to have a check up with my midwife and it went really well. I went in on time and i was happy with what the midwife told me and she explained everything to me.

i have regular bloods at the hospital to check my kidneys and i think they are great. They always text or ring me when i need anything and i am always kept up to date. I find this very helpful as sometimes you can get behind with appointments so the reminders really help.

The hospital have been nothing but great with me. My relative has undergone cancer treatment and the care was so good from the team.

Waiting 3hours plus at Walk In Centre

I injured my thumb and attended the Ormskirk Walk In Centre on Monday 24th October I was triaged then sent for xray quite quickly 3 hours later I was still waiting so I was so frustrated and angry that I left. I spoke to receptionist before I decided to leave and got told that NHS 111 patients took priority over other people like myself that had just walked in. Therefore the next day 25th Oct I phoned NHS 111 got told to go the walk in centre for 10.30am seen and necessary treatment given. ( This feedback was given at a pop up event the person giving this feedback consented giving this information healthwatch lancashire engagement officer)

Very good experience

My relative has come today to have his catheter changed and all the staff were lovely. The hospital is so spotless and clean, we like coming to this hospital.

I cant fault the hospital staff and service but the parking can be hard at times.
There is faded yellow lines on the left hand side in car park A and it isnt clear if you can park there, no signs but when i came back i had a note on my car saying blue badge holders only but nowhere did it say that.

I have been on the waiting list since last August, i rang in February and they said i was still o the waiting list, so I've now paid to go private.

i am extremely happy with the care that I receive at ORMSKIRK hospital, all the staff are happy and friendly. We are very lucky to have what we have with the health services.
