A&E

A member of public commented that when they recently visited the Accident & Emergency department at Ormskirk District General Hospital they had to wait 4 hours. They said they did not mind this however there was no indication on the board of how long to wait and there was no reception staff available to ask.
Childrens A&E

My granddaughter age 4 has had fevers/stomach pain and sickness and this has gone on for a while. On one visit to A&E we had to wait 4 hours. I know about emergency's as I am a past employee of the hospital on the physio department. There was no indication on the board of how long to wait and when I went to ask there was no reception staff. Triage had disappeared and I went looking for someone to help. I found a Doctor and I was polite but he had a go at me for looking at patients notes and reading them when I was not. I was looking for a board which might indicate how long before we got seen.

Radiographer was very caring and explained everything. It was quite an intimate ultrasound but it didn't feel embarrassing.

I have been coming since July 2015 and it's been excellent. Everyone is helpful and friendly. However, waiting times between appointments should be reduced (averages 3 weeks - sometimes longer).

Just had a consultation. Usually not waiting more than 5-10 minutes
