Euxton Hall Hospital

I visited with my friend so can only give an outline of the service but it seems very good and he is happy with his care so far

I have been here before in last 3 months at Virgin Care Unit. Second information letter for today's appointment (19.1.16) was quite poor. Spelling mistakes and other information was not good.

I have been an in-patient here and had many other outpatient appointments in the past. I have always found this hospital as good as Fulwood Hall Hospital.

This is my first visit. This was the closest choice other than Bolton Hospital given by my GP for an appointment.

Difficulty getting through on the phone and poor communication issues. Rang on a number of occasions and couldn't get through. Once spending 45 minutes on hold and once being cut off. I couldn't get clarity about my fasting needs till after 2pm so if then on PM appointment had been fasting too long. I am quite unhappy about this. I could not establish if my treatment would be AM or PM the next day so I didn't know when to fast from. However, my wife has been an in-patient here in the past and there weren't any problems.

I have been several times in the past. I find that the waiting time can be good or poor. I am not happy about the one toilet in the waiting area and find it a bit embarrassing when I have to go during my visit.

I arrived on 1st December for an appointment to be told that it had been cancelled (no prior notification). Today is my new appointment (19.1.16) 7 weeks later and not yet had treatment. Poor parking after 10am

I have an appointment at Chorley but the results of test carried out here didn't arrive quickly to Chorley Hospital. I wish I had gone to Chorley Hospital first. I was given no choice coming here. I feel my treatment was not co-ordinated by both units and I would have liked treatment at just one place. If I had gone to Chorley Hospital it would have been better. You get no feedback here. Not very happy here and the parking is poor for later appointments. I feel like complaining is a waste of time.

Why can't Royal Preston and Chorley Hospital be the same standard as here. I am being admitted today and I am happy to come in
