Whittle Surgery

I have been with this surgery for a while now and trying to get an appointment is a nightmare. When you actually see the doctors they are amazing I cant fault them at all. I rang the other day and I was 56th in the queue I felt like giving up, why would I want to sit on the phone for hours waiting.

I went to see my doctor as I hadn't been seen by my neurologist for 19 months, the doctor I saw had a specialism of epilepsy which had nothing to do with what I was going to see the doctor for.
I asked for a specialist as I know they have one there that deals with long term conditions, I was in the surgery for less than 4 minutes, I didn't feel listened to and after 19 months you'd think the doctor would give you a bit more time to talk about what's going on.
I received a letter from the doctor saying i had anxiety which was completely wrong and I just needed a push on my referral to be seen. How can they possibly do an assessment in 4 minutes?

I wont ring unless i am very poorly, the amount of times i have rung and i haven't got an appointment.
I feel like they have changed what they do and a lot have gone online, i don't have access to online so this isn't an option for me.

My elderly mum rang for an appointment as she struggles with her chest and she was told they couldn't give her an appointment. She explained that she thinks its just antibiotics that she needs.
The receptionist told her to just go to urgent care, but she struggles to get out of the house and transport is hard.
She went to urgent care and the doctors couldn't understand why she had been sent to urgent care as the doctors should have got her an appointment as she is a vulnerable person as well.
I feel this was unnecessary and they could have just given her an appointment.

It is so hard to get an appointment, some patients went down to the surgery and queued up outside for 30 minutes to see if we could get an appointment face to face, we were told me couldnt do that and had to ring or use the app.
We told the receptionists we couldn't get one on the phone that's why weve come down and then a post went out on social media saying please don't come down to the surgery for an appointment, but what do they expect when we cant get on any other way.

Its such a struggle getting an appointment at the doctors you are on hold for so long and then there are no appointments left. I feel the surgery is massively over subscribed with patients.
I worry as they are building new houses near here and where are they going to house these people there are no surgeries in the area and we cant get an appointment as patients.

I have tried to ring my surgery several times and i just cant get an appointment.
I was in a waiting line the other day via phone and my friend told me he had got an appointment through the app and there were loads of appointments avaialble.
The receptionist answered the phone and told me no appointments were available, i told her that there were loads online and she told me i had to book through the app which i don't have and she said there was nothing she could do.
We looked at the app and we counted 20 appointments available online, i think this is very unfair to people who don't have access to apps.

They built this lovely new building but every time i ring i cant get an appointment and i get so fed up on the phone line for ages.
There is a call back line which is good but its very rare they ring back and say there are appointments available.
The doctors are good when you go, i cant fault them it just seems to be the admin side that is a problem at the moment. You can see a nurse whenever you like but trying to see a doctor is horrible and people are being left ill.

i am really struggling now to get an appointment, i ring at the same time as everyone else and i am in a queue for a long time. I have to work, i don't have time to sit on a phone for ages waiting to get through.
I am not used to mobile phones so using an app is not appropriate for me at all. I feel something needs to change as patients are struggling to get in to see their doctor.

i am not very good with technology but all the appointments seem to be going online, i ring up and have to wait in a long queue to be told there are no appointments.
I have had to force myself to use technology but im still unsure what im doing and i can see appointments online im not 100 percent sure what to do when im on the app but no-one will help support me with this.
