Not happy with the care provided to my family member. Better care was provided when she was on the Bronte Ward.

Staff - Could be more helpful, will never give proper answers.
Travel - Travel from Burnley and sometimes have to wait up to 30 mins before we can enter the ward.
Wash - Mum not offered any help, staff expect family to help with wash, daughter does not mind doing this but a bit more consideration would be nice.
The ward itself and the building is really nice.

I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and put on steroids. I began acting different and felt "high". I was found to have steroid induced psychosis but was then taken to the Harbour by police and put on a section 2. The treatment on the ward was appalling. I was pinned down on the first day by 6 members of staff to be given medication using needle. We didn't have any toilet roll or sheets on the beds however there were knives left around and dressing gowns with ties on. It was not consistent and I feel it was extremely undignified, unsafe and a terrible environment for people who are trying to get better. I saw an elderly woman being pinned down by several members of staff to be given drugs by injection, it seems unnecessary and surely be only used as a last resort and not a first.

The car park is an issue, my legs are hurting with the walk.
