Very friendly practice

I cannot fault this practice whenever I have seen the dr nurses and reception they treat each individual with a caring and professional approach.The dr I saw listened to me was very efficent,caring and exceptional.an outstanding gp

hard to get an appointment

i struggle to get an appointment at my GP, you ring in the morning and are on hold for ages. they always say ring back tomorrow for an appointment but when you've been doing that for four days straight you don't want to keep ringing.

To help make the process easier, we encourage you to consider using the NHS App, which allows you to book appointments online at your convenience. This can often be a quicker and more efficient way to secure an appointment without the need to wait on hold. We do also offer the facility to request a call back from the phone queue and this holds your place in the queue without the need to hold on the line. Many patients have given us very positive feedback about this feature of our phone system.

We are continuously working to improve our services and make accessing care as straightforward as possible for our patients. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us achieve this.

This practice seriously needs to modernise

Still ringing at 8am for an appt. Can't get a same day appt. Only accept bookings a week ahead. Other practices are offering phone appts, online appts, online booking. This practice offers none of those things. Why not??? Terrible service and I'm just glad my children are no longer little!

Reception area is confusing

When you enter Tarleton Health Centre it is very confusing. There is a desk where the HCRG was but no one mans that desk anymore. If patients are coming in for a clinic with the HCRG then they are going to the GP reception desk but no one can help them there. I went for an appointment a few weeks ago and a maintenance person came to do some work and they asked at the GP reception but they can't help.

The matter you mentioned is indeed out of our direct control, as it involves the management of the building and services run by NHS Property Services (NHSPS) and the community services that are not directly attached to our practice. We have raised our concerns with NHSPS and are actively working with them to find a solution that will improve the experience for all visitors to the health centre.

Very good service

I went to see my doctor a few weeks ago after trying for a few months to solve the problem myself. The doctor rang the hospital there and then and got me an appointment that day. The staff were incredible and helpful and i cant thank them enough.

Not good with communication

My GP are good but they are not very good with communication. I was told by my doctor that I needed an emergency blood test but then the receptionist told me I can't get one for 4 weeks at the surgery. I was told that I needed some medication in my system when I have the blood test but the medication would be out of my system when I go back in 4 weeks. I didn't know I could go to the hospital for my bloods I don't understand why they didn't tell me.

Very good surgery

I have been with my surgery for some time now and I can't fault them. They have been incredible with me and my family. I can always get an appointment and the staff are so lovely and friendly.

Confusing for patients

they have two reception desks and it can be quite confusing for patients and its not clearly signposted where to go. More needs to be done to help direct patients as it can be hard to get around.
