Not enough staff. No support from managers

They are ok while you are working hours and hours but when you say you can’t you get abuse. Staff do t have enough time to care so everything is rushed. Certainly not person centred

A cheaply run death trap with careless staff

My Mother, Zita Histed, is current resident at the Knowle Care Home, 5 Egerton Road, Ashton, Preston. On the 28th December 2015 and 2nd January 2016 she left the home due to slack security to wander the streets, on the second occasion for 5 hours, causing a massive Police search. My mother is 73 and has dementia with a Mental Capability Act / Deprivation of Liberty order requiring she be kept secure for her own safety. Due to negligence this frail old lady was subject to the harsh elements of winter for hours. I'm most displeased with their lack of capability in keeping residents safe. Also the food is cheap and nasty, there are loose flagstones in the garden and the conservatory roof leaks
