No anaesthetic or pain relief at hot clinic

Despite telephoning in advance and telling 3 members of staff how anxious I was I was not offered any anaesthetic or pain relief. I had a wire removed from my finger - the removal of the dressing was excruciatingly painful and the removal was very unpleasant. A very sticky plaster was then applied to the finger with the adhesive clinging to the exposed stitches. The staff were pleasant but showed no empathy. I feel this treatment was very poor and I'm extremely upset
