communication with patients
i was referred to Urology at RPH and was sent for a scan and a blood test. i had to chase the scan as id had my blood test and id received my consultant appointment but i hadnt yet had my scan. I rang them and they said 'oh well have to get you in quick your appointment with the consultant is next week' i went for my scan and the day before my consultant appointment i got a text saying due to unforeseen circumstances my appointment has been cancelled. I then received a letter two days later saying we cancelled your appointment as the consultant didnt have enough time to look at your scan results, if you don't hear from us within 6 weeks please contact us. I feel this shouldn't be on the patient to follow up, also adding to the stress of not knowing what is wrong with me.
