Had an emergency c section and neonatal stay

Felt disempowered from the moment I walked into the maternity ward. Felt like an outsider to my daughter’s own birth as all decisions were taken away from me and not explained properly. I had a long unprogressive labour (over 30hrs) and then a very quick emergency section when it was discovered that my daughter was breech at 9cm (after only being checked 7 hours earlier - why was I not examined in that period?). Due to the traumatic birth, my daughter was admitted to HDU on NICU, and I felt like decisions were made for me, not with me.
