Lack of care
I had a stroke at the end of July 2023 and was admitted to ward 21a. On admission I was given a form to sign so that I could leave the ward to go for a smoke. On many occasion whilst leaving the ward I left the the hospital site and went to to the local shop and café and not once did the ward ask where I had been they had no knowledge I had left the hospital. On one occasion a nurse probably a junior nurse by the colour of her uniform plunk medication in front of me when asked what it was I was informed it your medication when I asked her what it was the same reply it was like extracting teeth eventually I obtained the information. When I asked the consultant to see the scan to which they were referring to I was told no it is not for you and the screen was turned in such away I could not see. I had to demand to have a scan done again as an outpatient and told I was discharging myself enough was enough.
