Communications from other healthcare services

Communication from hospital on 15th September related to continuation of prescription for DVT treatment was not found in spite of patient calling 3 times to resolve the issue. It had been overlooked and only picked up 5th October after numerous phone calls between patient hospital and GP and exact date given. (As the patient I was not aware of the exact date initially). The system needs to flag communications that relate to altered or additional prescriptions. Could a better search of the passed months communications have resolved the issue faster and with less stress instead of just saying there is nothing on the system when there actually was. Reading and relaying relevant communications would improve things.
