Great quality of care
I arrived for my appointment and I was called in ten minutes early for this. The nurse was very helpful and took me down to the consultation room. The sonographer introduced herself and familiarised herself with why I had been sent for a scan. She then spoke to me about what had been happening and then did the scan. She said based on the scan she felt that an internal scan was the best course of action. She was very professional and asked if this was ok with me. I accepted the scan but was a little bit nervous. the sonographer was very calming and explained the whole process and said we can stop whenever you need. She continued to talk me through what she was looking for and asked if I wanted to stop. This made me feel very calm as I understood what was happening and I knew I could stop at any point. I felt my privacy and dignity were respected at all times and they always ensured they checked I was ok before they came around the curtain. The sonographer was very supportive and explained what she was going to do next and that I should make an appointment with my doctor next week to follow up the results. I have been for scans before but this one was different, the care I received was exceptional and I would highly recommend the staff here to anyone who needs a scan in the future. The nurse and the sonographer were very professional, caring and supportive throughout the appointment and nothing was too much trouble.
