Ormskirk District General Hospital



Fracture / Orthopaedic

Appointment at 10.20 was seen roughly about 11.50 only one consultant. The other consultant did not turn up. Expected the delay - it was unavoidable. Next appointment could have been made but no one was at reception when I came out. Now I have to wait for appt to come in the post and not sure if I can make it. If appt was made today I would be able to diarise it and make arrangements, cost saving element too as now they have to post an appt. Experience so different to Southport where I was in A&E 2 weeks ago - A&E staff were superb. It couldn't be better. Staff treat you as a human being at Southport. Last week I went for my 1st fracture consultation at Southport which as pathetic. That was running an hour late - no reason given and totally impersonal service in that dept compared to A&E. Easier to access fracture dept at Ormskirk in self-propelling wheelchair than at Southport.
