A nightmare.

Sent for rehab with a box frame after a fall backwards gardening, fractured pelvis, ribs wrists all left side. Personal bag emptied and vitamin tablets taken. Medication not given in time. Had to continually ring for Morphine. Meals came whenever and inedible and cold. Son kept me supplied with fruit and yogurt as most days no breakfast. No hot drinks. Ended up with a travel kettle after complaining over lack of privacy etc to office staff. Managed to get a shower end if first week but had to sort myself out as I did throughout my two weeks stay. I saw physio about 6 times but walked and walked with box frame up and down the corridor during the day when my son came and partner who helped me to bed. The last Sunday before I came out on the Tuesday. I rang for Morphine 10.00 buzzer eventually answered by an agency worker who couldn’t understand English very well. Disappeared. Rang again at 10.35 still ring at 11.00. Eventually phoned to say I was still waiting. I was so stressed out. Asked to be accessed next day with going out on the Wednesday. I graduated to a stick. I was told I could go on the Tuesday. .I did..I passed my complaints onto LCC…was visited on the 21/11. Was told it was abuse.. was supposed to have had a meeting again with the Home manager but it got cancelled for something more important. Also cc. the ACC . ? People no response. I am not normally upset or distressed by anything but that two week experience has changed all that. I am 85 on a piece of paper but not in mind.. is my next stop a solicitor. .? For info ..the lady in the next room to me (first week) went to hospital one day for some tests refused to come back, her daughter came to collect her stuff said a complaint was going in.
