communication with patients

my surgery don't do vaccines anymore which is causing problems as its now moved to Grasshoppers and i cant get there, i don't drive. i feel they need to make vaccines more accessible to those who are vulnerable. i feel the doctors haven't supported me with this, i know there's only so much they can do but they could help me or advice me. But just trying to get through to this surgery is hard work, you ring and your on the phone for ages and you an never get an appointment.

The surgery continues to offer vaccinations to the patients. If this is relating to the Spring Covid vaccine, we unfortunately do not have the capacity to offer the spring booster this year. This is being offered by the pharmacy next door to the surgery for the patient convenience. We will be offering the Winter Covid booster alongside the flu vaccine from October.
We are in the process of changing the telephone provider, which will help patients trying to contact the surgery via the telephone.

Hard to get an appointment

I struggle to get in touch with my doctors to make an appointment, I am always in a queue every time I ring and when you get to number two it just rings but no one answers.

We apologise for the problems you are having booking an appointment over the telephone. We will be changing our phone system providing in the coming months and hope this will help patients to get through on the telephone. We do offer appointment bookings online and this is available through the NHS App.

can not get an appointment, I always try and then when I do get through they have no appointments left

I am sorry you are struggling to get an appointment at the surgery. We have a variety of appointments available. We have urgent on the day appointments, pre-bookable appointments, telephone appointments, face to face appointments and also Saturday morning appointments. If you are requested a certain Clinician there can be a longer waiting time.

I cant seem to get any support from the surgery. The doctors mess up your prescriptions and you cant get a repeat prescription.
They have not gone back to full face to face appointments yet and i dont understand how they can diagnose over the phone when i am really poorly.

I am sorry you are having problems with the practice. Please can you contact the Practice Manager to discuss your issue in more depth.
We do have a variety of appointments both face to face and telephone appointments.
