Chorley and South Ribble Hospital


Appalling facilities

I attended the hospital on the 1st of November for an urgent blood test. I had been referred over by GP and headed straight there. I spent 20 minutes driving around to find a parking space and was subsequently charged for it even though I was unable to find a space! I had to ask my other half to take over the driving and go round the block whilst I received my test. Then when I went into the hospital, imagine my horror, to learn that the blood clinic has moved from where it used to be near the outpatients entrance to the opposite side of the hospital! There were no notices around the entrance to let anyone know. I came across one on the top corridor which was a small A5 piece of paper explaining that the centre had moved and it was now located where it is now. All the way along the corridor were printed a4 signs that indicated where to go. These were very difficult to read and i am disgusted that a new centre like this has not been given adequate signage. The care that I received was amazing, the facilities at the hospital were sub-standard.
