Bad Care - reported to Safeguarding

Received a phone call from Deborah Robinson a former employee at Belgarth Care Home from 24th Dec 2015 to 12th March 2015. Deborah is concerned about the welfare of the residents. She told us about bullying from the manager and staff to residents who are highly compromised with dementia. Staff had spoken to residents in threatening and abusive ways. Deborah has reported this to Safeguarding on the 10th March 2016 and Marie Whitmore at CQC, as well as the police. A Safeguarding Officer has contacted Deobrah on the 14th April 2016 to speak directly to her about the issue. I have given Deborah the number for the central Safeguarding line at LCC (0300 1236 720) and the CQC's (0300 061 6161). Deborah is calling them again as these are different numbers than she has phoned previously. Deborah called back to say she's spoken to Safeguarding and reported the issue again. Deborah also spoke to Linda Brown who has reassured her that she has contacted the right governing bodies. Deborah's number is 07904035993.
