prescription problems

July 30, 2024
my husband is in his 80s and he is on regular medication but he has to walk to the pharmacy which is 20 minutes away around 3 days before his prescription to order this and then walks back 3 days later to pick this up. I've asked if they can deliver but they said they wont do it. I've spoken with both the surgery to see if he can ring and the prescription gets sent to the pharmacy and I've called the pharmacy to see if they will deliver but they've told him he's not eligible.

This can most definitely be done if it is a regular prescription please contact the prescribing team and ask them to set you up for repeat dispensing and if they cant they will explain as to why.

Thanks

Hard to get an appointment

February 1, 2024
When you ring in the morning there is a massive queue, once you get through they do offer you appointments at the other two surgeries and you can book 3 weeks in advance so unsure if this is what holds up the phone lines and appointment availability.

Thank you for your comment I am unsure if you are aware of the new appointment system which has now been in place since June 2023 as we now offer an online triage system and everyone is triaged within 48 hours by a clinician and is then offered the most appropriate appointment.

If your require more information on our appointment system please do not hesitate to contact our reception team who would be happy to clarify.

Thanks
Jenni

Occasionally good, mainly dismissive

May 18, 2023
I got dismissed everytime I went to them about my debilitating pain I experienced around my periods. To a point they got fed up and changed to a lower ranked professional to speak to me about my issues and due to my circumstances I got ignored. I made the decision to go private and within 3 months I got a diagnosis and the start of a treatment plan. However, other people I know got referrals instantly and diagnosed and treated within 6 months of going to this practice, yet I had to beg for a referral. Not sure why I got treated differently but I did. I’m a student nurse and my treatment here and elsewhere has significantly impacted my mental state and i’m debating whether to even go into the nursing career anymore when this is how the system treats patients.

I have suffered from psoriasis for may years, which flared up during a bereavement. The Doctor and nurses were unhelpful and said that I would have to wait for 4 months for a referral. I was in incredible pain and discomfort. I ended up in the A & E.

I have had ongoing problems here. The latest one I had severe stomach pain and vomiting. I phoned but the receptionist said that i could not speak to a Doctor for three day. I could not get to the walk in centre, so i went to A & E. I was found to have a strangulated hernia. I do not want to go to this surgery anymore.

rubbish. phone consultation is a week away

May 7, 2015
You can't get to see a doctor, instead they give you a telephone consultation time for a week later. You also never get to see the same person twice. No patient continuity.
