Who can help me? Exploring the experiences of carers supporting people with a neurological condition.
Introducing our latest project: ‘Who can help me?’ Exploring the experiences of carers supporting people with a neurological condition.
The aim of the engagement is to understand the experiences of family members and carers who support people living with a neurological condition. Analysis of experiences will uncover whether the individual needs of a carer are addressed, including how their health and wellbeing may have been affected.
Why are we doing this project?
Over the last 18 months, whilst engaging with members of the public, our engagement team have identified that there are gaps in support for carers and family members supporting people with neurological conditions including Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis. This project aims to collect evidence of this lack of support, so that recommendations can be formulated to influence change and improvements for carers. We will also highlight areas of good practice.
Who do we want to speak to?
We are looking to speak to carers or family members who are either currently caring, or have cared for someone in the last 12 months, with a neurological condition. A neurological condition is any condition which affects the brain, spinal cord and/or nerves and can affect anyone at any age.
How can you get involved?
