Residents, families, staff: How has Covid 19 impacted Lancashire’s Care Homes?

May 22, 2020

As your local Healthwatch we exist to hear and share your experiences of health and social care services. At this challenging and unprecedented time, we want to hear how the pandemic, which has impacted us all, has affected care homes.

Working with Lancashire County Council, we have created three surveys designed to hear the experiences of three groups:

  • Care Home Residents
  • Families of Residents
  • Care Home Staff

We’ve heard how challenging Covid-19 has been across our communities. But we have also heard inspiring examples innovation and out-of-the-box ideas that have been hugely beneficial to residents and staff. Through your responses we’re hoping to hear more examples of how Covid-19 has impacted the care home experience: the ways you have adapted and the challenges you’ve faced.

Each survey is quick and easy to fill in. Your responses will greatly help Lancashire County Council and its partners to understand the effects of Covid-19 on Lancashire’s care homes, residents and staff.

All the information you give to us will remain secure, and confidential. Answers and comments will only be used for the purposes of information and intelligence gathering and will not be used for marketing purposes.

Help us hear your views and experiences at this unusual and unprecedented time.
