Volunteering: What we can offer
We have a range of volunteering roles available with Healthwatch Lancashire.
Volunteering with us will give you an opportunity to:
- Make a difference in your local community: Services listen to and seek out our feedback.
- Gain an insight into Health & Social Care services in Lancashire: We visit Care homes, day services, Maternity units, hospitals and GP surgeries, as well as regularly attending user groups and forums.
- Meet new people: We have volunteers from across Lancashire with a variety of life experiences.
- Enhance your skills and knowledge: The experience at Healthwatch will give you insight that you will not get any other way.
- Access training and support around Health & Social Care: We offer regular awareness training alongside our staff, as well as our initial volunteer training, regular online training and access to Healthwatch England training courses.
- Use your existing skills: We value your life experience and will do our best to tailor our roles to your specific circumstances. We really want to hear from everyone!
- Add valuable experience to your CV: Healthwatch is unique in its volunteering offer. You could be mystery shopping, visiting a Care home, engaging with a group of people recently released from prison, assessing a hospital environment, or attending a volunteering fair at a local college.
