very good surgery

i changed surgeries as i had a bad experience with the one i was at and now i have moved i cant fault them. I asked if someone could come to my house and they sent the paramedic out who recognised my relative and was shocked at how he looked. The old surgery haven't sent over any records to the new surgery but they have taken this in their stride and really supported my relative. They are excellent.

I attend Roslea Surgery and I can't complain at all. I have Doctor Alexander and I get him every time. I use the My GP app and find it fine to use, I never have any problems at this surgery.

Staffing and communication

It is very hard to get an appointment at this surgery. The receptionists can be quite rude at times and don't always listen. I am not very tech savvy and they are always pushing me to use it to book appointments. I don't feel they always listen and this can be very difficult.

Not very good

My relative has to take regular medication and the surgery wont' help her do this via the phone or face to face. They ask her to do it online and it really upsets her. She's had a lot of health problems and she can't manage technology, they don't put anything in place to help and support her.

prescription changes

I have been attending this surgery for some time and had a few issues but nothing too big. They have now made it very difficult to order prescriptions. you are now no longer allowed to ring for a prescription. You can only do it via the app which I don't have access to or take it into the pharmacy yourself. but that's not good either because you drop it off and they say it needs to be 48 hours so you have to leave and go back, there must be an easier way.

Really dont listen to you

My friend has power of attorney over their relative and has been ordering prescriptions for them for years. All of a sudden they are receiving phone calls saying they want to speak to the person. The person doesn't have the capacity to talk and cant agree to medication that's why a power of attorney is in place.

Reception staff and doctors are not helpful

I am not happy with this surgery, the reception staff are not very helpful or supportive when you speak to them on the phone or in person.
I also feel that the doctors don't put prescriptions through on time and it makes the patients wait.

Very bad with communication

I was referred to a surgeon in Preston and when I turned up they thought it was a different part of my body and not the one they had put in their notes. I find the doctors just don't listen to you and don't look into what the problem is. I feel doctors should double check before they send referrals.

It is very hard to get an appointment

If you don't ring before 8:10am you cant get an appointment. They lost paperwork of mine once and filed it away instead of scanning it.
I went for an appointment and they didn't call my name loud enough so i missed the appointment. I was told it was my fault even though i was sat waiting for my appointment in the waiting area.
I have to call to see if referrals have gone through as most of the time they haven't and i have to chase them up.
I don't have the same doctor all the time and this can be frustrating as the doctors only look at your last appointments to see what you came in for and presume its something to do with that. Your doctor knows you and your past.
The only good thing about this surgery is the doctors all have specialisms and it is published to all the patients what doctor has what.
