Innovation in research recognised in Lancashire
Healthwatch Lancashire received their finalist award for the Research Innovation category with Dorothy Jopson, Clinical Leader, from University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay.
The award was in recognition of the project ‘Patient Journeys at Royal Lancaster Infirmary’, which resulted in a significant number of changes being made throughout the hospital after Healthwatch Lancashire were invited, by University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, to follow a group of patients and listen to their experiences during a full week on Ward 39.
The event was a successful evening for Lancashire organisations being recognised for their outstanding achievements in clinical research and healthcare innovation.
