Healthwatch Lancashire Welcome New Manager

This week we have welcomed Lynsey Beniston to the team as Healthwatch Lancashire Manager.

Lynsey joins the team following Kerry Prescott as team manager. Kerry is now on maternity leave, we wish her the best of luck for this exciting new chapter.

Lynsey Benniston says:

I am extremely lucky to have such a varied and diverse role, which involves working collaboratively with many organisations to ensure that the people of Lancashire have their say on the Health & Social Care services in their area.

My role at Healthwatch will enabled me to bring together all of my past experience. I trained in NHS Management originally, managing 5 community hospitals in addition to being the Assistant Manager at a large Hospital Trust in Scotland. From there I moved into the private sector for a large international organisation, where I worked as the National Relationship Manager, working to improve access to healthcare services for the population, through service delivery transformation. This role had an extensive remit, working in Scotland, England, Republic of Ireland and Wales.

I live in Lancashire with my husband, our daughter who’s a toddler, my two teenage step children and our 3 dogs so my days are always full of  fun and laughter!

I love health and fitness and I’m currently working towards my Diploma in Personal Training, specialising in working with those with Long Term Conditions that have been referred by their GP.

The team look forward to welcoming Lynsey and working together over the next twelve months.
