Healthwatch Lancashire take part in Healthier Lancashire Summit
Healthwatch Lancashire participated in the Healthier Lancashire Summit last week – a collaborative event involving the NHS, local authorities, hospital trusts, third sector organisations, community services and the public who are working together to bring about crucial changes to health and social care provision across Lancashire.
The Healthier Lancashire Programme aims to mobilise and articulate a county-wide response to the many challenges faced by the care system today in Lancashire. These challenges have been recently articulated in the ‘Five Year Forward View’, by Simon Stevens, NHS England.
Healthwatch Lancashire Chief Executive, Gill Brown (pictured right), took part in the strategic sessions during the Healthier Lancashire event.
The aim of the day was to actively involve these stakeholders in co-creating the programme vision and values, prior to wider engagement and consultation. The spirit and practice of co-creation is at the heart of the way in which the programme will be developed.
