Healthwatch Lancashire ready to undertake ‘Enter and View’

Healthwatch Lancashire managers and staff members have successfully completed ‘Enter and View’ training to enable them to visit and assess services in Lancashire.

The training session, delivered by Georgina Bream from Healthwatch England, provided essential knowledge and skills for undertaking ‘Enter and View’ within health and social care environments.

Legislation allows Healthwatch Lancashire to enter and health and adult social care premises and view the quality of care and the environment. Healthwatch Lancashire will be looking to gather feedback from those using the service to report back to those who manage, run and regulate services.

Gill Brown, Healthwatch Lancashire Chief Executive, said: “Healthwatch Lancashire has an important role in undertaking Enter and View assessments to identify where services are performing well and where improvements can be made. Our role is then to ensure that any recommendations are listen to and acted upon.”

All staff members and Healthwatch Lancashire volunteers receive appropriate training before undertaking this role.

Healthwatch Lancashire are currently looking to recruit members to the ‘Enter and View’ team. For details click here.
