CQC Report: North West Ambulance Service

North West Ambulance Service NHS TrustOn 10th December 2014, CQC published an inspection report on North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust, the first ambulance trust to be inspected under the Care Quality Commission’s revised inspection approach.

The announced inspection took place between 19 and 22 August 2014, and the unannounced inspection visits took place on 26 and 27 September 2014.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust is one of 10 ambulance trusts in the UK, five of which are foundation trusts and is currently in the process of applying to become a foundation trust.

As the first ambulance trust inspected under the new model, CQC did not provide ratings for this trust.

The trust also operates a 111 service which was not assessed as a part of this inspection.
