Healthwatch Lancashire’s volunteers make a difference… could you?
Healthwatch Lancashire’s active group of experienced and skilled volunteers are local people who help us be the public voice for health and social care in Lancashire. Our volunteers undertake a range of activities to help us ensure that local people are listened to when it comes to health and social care and the services we all use. In 2016/17 our volunteers celebrated the following achievements:
- Having spoken to over 6000 members of the public.
- Contributed to 1276 hours in volunteering.
- Completed 37 PLACE assessments and 12 mini PLACE assessments.
Our volunteers take part in activities such as:
- Enter & View
- Mystery Shopping
- PLACE Assessments
- Peer Support
These are opportunities to be the eyes and ears of Healthwatch Lancashire, working on behalf of fellow residents of Lancashire. We welcome new ideas about the contribution volunteers can make to the work of Healthwatch Lancashire.
