Like an asylum, manager unapproachable
January 12, 2016
Like an asylum, manager unapproachable. Our son was kept in this home against his will, we were not allowed to visit him and staff put phone down when we rang. They were also reluctant for us to have any input into his care & refused to let us take him home when he asked us to. He stated that it was like being in prison.
Treated like in prison
February 9, 2015
My son, Matthew, who has Aspergers Syndrome, was placed in this home against his wishes by Pendle Support and Care Company and LCC Adult Social Services staff. Matthew was treated like he was in prison whilst he stayed in this home. Also, Manager and staff acting in an obstructive manner when dealing with parents.
Matthew was also forced and pressured into signing a letter written by home staff stating that if Matthew didn't want to see me (father) he didn't have to. Even after the incident Matthew stated that this felt like abuse.
