24hr care, in own home_funded by NHS/Continuing Healthcare

August 18, 2016
Continuous Healthcare (CHC) are corrupt. They lie and deliberate misguide. My mum is my main carer for my dad- 24hr 7days . 2 carers call 4x a day for personal care which is funded by CHC. They refused to fund respite..in home..whilst Mum had a break. We requested respite back in November, for the 1st week in August. Mum is 78. CHC refused because IF they funded in home 24 hour care and a carer failed to turn up-dad would be left unattended and it would result in a crisis.

Patient Transport

Had to wait a while to be collected for appointment and had to wait long to be dropped off.
Make it easier for older people.

Lancashire County Council Social Services

June 29, 2015
Since being discharged from hospital I have been referred to LCC Social Services. I have been asking for help since October but have had very little. I have physical and mental problems - mainly depression and have been house-bound for months. I have lost touch with the outside. LCFT staff have told me I am entitled to different sorts of support eg 117. Carers from agencies have been out for up to 4 - 5 weeks, but I need ongoing support with practical things. The support I have has not made any difference so unless it is improved there is no point to it.
