The Healthwatch Lancashire board of directors is responsible for the management and governance of the organisation. They use their expertise to ensure that Healthwatch Lancashire is fulfilling its legal and statutory obligations.

Mike Wedgeworth MBE – Chairman
Mike Wedgeworth MBE, a Canon at Blackburn Cathedral and former Chief Executive of Hyndburn Borough Council, will provide leadership to the Board of Directors of Healthwatch Lancashire.
Mike, pictured right, brings a wealth of third sector experience to the role as the former Independent Chair of Third Sector Lancashire.
Mike said: “I see this role as a follow-on from my work with voluntary, community and faith groups over many years. There are huge changes going on in the National Health Service and in social care, and Healthwatch is a vital route to influencing those changes for the good of the people and communities of Lancashire.”
Mike Wedgeworth was awarded the MBE in 2010 for services to Further Education and the Community of Lancashire.
Mike leads the Healthwatch Lancashire board of directors.
